Mods folder is completely empty after repairing game!! HELP PLEASE!

I was just playing my game today a few minutes ago and all of my cc and mods were in the mods folder but my game was glitching so I saved and exited and then repaired my game. I’ve done this plenty of times before with my cc in the mods folder and nothing ever disappeared. I opened my game again and when i loaded my previous game I saw that my sims were naked and balled and I opened the house hold and saw that all or my cc items had been deleted and replaced with base game furniture. I exited the game checked my mods folder and it was COMPLETELY EMPTY with only the resource.cfg file. I don’t have my cc copied in a different folder so I have no backup. Is there any way to restore this and get it all back?!! I really DO NOT want to start all the way over please help if you can!!!! Thank you.

  • @Ashmy16  It would be odd for your mods and custom content to simply disappear, especially if the rest of the content of the Sims 4 folder were still intact.  You can search your computer for the files, to see if they happen to turn up anywhere else.  Open a File Explorer window, click This PC, and search for *.ts4script (asterisk, then the file extension), which should find any mods.  Custom content comes in .package format, and you can search for that too, but the search results may include other unrelated files.  If you find your mods and cc, just put them back where they belong.

Be sure to check OneDrive too, in case the files happen to be there instead of stored locally on your computer.

  • @Ashmy16 I’m going through the exact same thing right now. Everything has disappeared, like file wise it’s as if i just got the game when all i did was uninstall and reinstall which i’ve done many times over the years with no problem. Did you ever find a solution?
