Mods show up at startup screen but not in game-play??

Hello, I watched top 20 mods that you need to add to sims and decided to get some. I downloaded them, added them to the mods folder, and started playing. They show up at the startup screen along with all of my other custom content. They won't show up in gameplay though? (I tried to find all of them, I downloaded about 8) I just did what I usually do to download CC?

Thank you, I forgot to say but I figured out that I had to take them out of a folder first!! I completely forgot to close the discussion.

  • Might I add: I also added some clothing CC and that works. Only the "Script mods" arent showing up (My previous downloaded ones are though)

  • Hi @Madison_Willow77 - Depending on the timing, you may have installed some mods/cc that were outdated by the recent patch. Or, maybe the script mods aren't unpacked or installed properly.

Have a read-through here to see if you can find the issue: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2018/11/mods-custom-content-doesnt-show-up/

Be aware that every time the game patches, it disables mods and cc in order to give you (and the creators) time to update them to work with the new patches. You need to test all of your mods/cc after every single patch. Most creators are very good about updating their content as quickly as possible so you can continue to enjoy their work. Happy Simming!
