I've recently reinstalled the sims 4 and everything worked just fine but this morning (a day after reinstalling the game) I downloaded some new mods and all of a sudden I couldn't see any of the clot...

Could you try letting the game make a new game folder?
- Go to Documents\Electronic Arts\
- Rename the 'The Sims 4' folder to something like 'The Sims 4 old'
- Start the game, this will create a new folder.
- Test the game, if it works fine start moving mods and saves over from 'The Sims 4 old' to the new folder.
I tried it but unless I'm doing something wrong it won't create a new folder
Did you start the game after renaming?
(Or do you have something running like OneDrive that is copying the files away?)
