Mouse Hole Stopped Working After Placing Trap!

You should only get the option to place a trap if there is an active mouse. The trap will kill the mouse and the mouse hole will then go dormant and have no options until a new mouse spawns. It’s random when that will happen. Could be days or weeks with nothing.

The mouse is a negative event which gives sims a tense moodlet, which is why it’s not something that happens all the time.

It sounds like this is not a bug at all, just you’re expecting the hole to work differently than it’s supposed to.
