Mouse Stops Working As I Enter The Sims 4 Game

My mouse works fine otherwise. My drivers are all updated. It's only until I launch the game that it completely freezes. The animations still work, the background music still plays, it's just my mous...

@BombiIRS010 Do you have another mouse you could try ? Do you have mouse trails on ?

To be sure I understand correctly what you're seeing: You see your mouse cursor but it doesn't move ?

Yes, I can see my cursor but it doesn't move. It freezes immediately when the loading screen starts. Then it reaches the home page where you can see all the exapansion packs and whatnot. The animations there work perfectly.  I completely removed all Mods and restarted my game.

I don't have any other mouse. I'm not sure what mouse trails are. I can't move to open main menu. The only way for me to exit is to restart my computer
