Moved File

so I accidentally moved my game file (the one that I installed from EA) from D (this is where I saved the file) to E. Now when I launch EA, it says that I have to download the whole game again ☹️ can someone help me, please? do I really have to reinstall the game? As for the EA file that is saved in Document, I don't do anything to it, it's just that the game that installed from EA only. I'm sorry for my broken English, please help me. Thank you.

  • @simsdelicate  Move the Sims 4 data from E back to the place it used to be on D.  Do this with the EA App closed.  Then repair the game: open your game library, hover over the Sims 4 icon, click the three dots, and select Repair.

@simsdelicate  I don't think there's a way to do this within the EA App, at least not yet.  But Origin still has this function.  You can download it from here:

    https://answers.ea.com/t5/Origin-Client-Web-Technical/Downloading-and-installing-Origin-Windows-and-Mac/m-p/11915666

If you get an error when Origin opens, restart your computer, or open the Task Manager and kill the EABackgroundService.exe.  Open your Origin game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, select Move Game, and choose the folder you want it to move to.  Origin will do the work itself and let you know when it's done.  Then you can go back to using the EA App if you want.
