Moving Electronic Arts Folder
Hi, I have recently downloaded Sims 4 onto my laptop, it's windows, and I am signed into both my school account and my personal account on one drive. Steam, EA and the internet shortcut to Sims 4 are all on my personal account. However when I open Sims 4 to play the electronic arts folder always downloads into the documents folder on my school account and I have no idea how to stop that from happening. I've changed where files download on steam and have tried to on EA, I've tried moving the folder by dragging and dropping but every time I open the game after it creates a new electronic arts folder in the same place, I've also tried hiding the documents folder, deleting the folder, signing out of my school account on one drive so that its just my personal, creating a documents folder on my personal account and turned off syncing, but it still manages to find a way. How do I change where its downloading, I don't mind it being on my personal OneDrive account or on the laptop itself, or how do I move the actual folder with sims still being able to find it?
@halicee This is the info I was looking for. Please try changing the default location of Documents to this:
C:\Users\[user 1]\Documents
Here's how you can do that:
Let me know if you run into any trouble with the process; you can make sure it worked by checking the location under Properties as you did before.
Sims 4 should place the user folder in the new location once you've changed it, but if not, you may need to uninstall and reinstall the game.
