Moving Mods from Drive C to D

I have been wanting to do this for soo long as well. But can never find a good answer. The Sims 4 Mods folder takes up lots of space on the C drive and i have recently gotten a new HardDrive to have more space and haven't figured out how to move the location the sims 4 FOLDER to that drive so when i add CC etc it goes there instead the C drive where its installed and located. I have the sims 4 located installed on my D driver from Origin but not the actual Sims 4 Folder that has the mod folder etc.
I hope this makes sense cause i don't understand why EA had the location of the game folder on the C driver as you shouldnt have any games installed there only have it for Windows updates etc.
Anyways glad im not the only one who has been wanting to move the folder somewhere else.
