The problem is that you are using One Drive. I used to use it for backups which for the Sims 4 took forever and the program did delete files without my permission. It was impossible to completely get rid of it so what I do now is to block it. It tries to come back every time I have to reboot so I make sure to turn it off if I have to restart my computer. This does not remove any of the other files on Word that are saved as backups to One Drive. I recommend you turn One Drive off. I also changed my save file to a different location and combed through One Drive to get rid of any files it was backing up for my Sim games.

I ended up doing just that and it doesn't happen anymore.
