In all likelihood you downloaded them in a packed format such as Zip or Rar and need to unpack them. See instructions where you got them.

@RonRonJAlso it could be just badly tagged CC. I've seen that a LOT. In fact, it is exceedingly rare for a CC object to be properly tagged for the game. Clothing tagged with incorrect colors, styles, pants tagged as shirts, red blouses tagged as green, Objects with no tags at all... (No tags means it won't even show up in the game)
Whenever I download CC, I never use it until I load it into Sims4Studio and go through all the tags.It's a pain in the rear but necessary. CC content creators are horrible at creating proper CC.
