@MissEunhye Do you use OneDrive? If so, that may be the issue, or rather OneDrive's attempts to sync the Documents folder may be the issue. Try pausing syncing and cancelling the current sync:
If that helps, make a copy of the Sims 4 folder in Documents\Electronic Arts and store it somewhere that OneDrive doesn't touch. (An external drive is ideal, but you can put the copy in Downloads in a pinch.) Then stop OneDrive from automatically syncing Documents:
Or, if you have no use for it, unlink OneDrive, which will keep it out of the picture entirely.

Hi @puzzlezaddict !
I’ve tried to uninstall Onedrive (I have no use of it) but my game keeps crashing.
I’ve tried to enter in Create a sim with another family, another save and the game doesn’t crash. But I’ve remembered that this problem has begun when two kittens have joined my family so I’ve deleted the kittens and my game has stopped crashing. I’ve tried to add a new kitten and the game automatically crashes. So it’s a problem with kittens it seems 😅.
Thanks for your help!- puzzlezaddict4 years agoHero+
@MissEunhye If you want to troubleshoot the issues with pets further, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

Please also try playing in a clean user folder. Move your entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be in the folder you've moved but temporarily not read by the game.) Don't add anything to this new folder yet; just see whether you can create a household, with kittens, and whether you can save your progress.
