my game won’t load

my game isnt loading past the title screen and ive deleted all mods and custom content although some of my sims r still wearing the custom content ive reset the game checked the files in steam and reset the game idk what to do i have 200 hours in the game and i dont want to lose the progress i have currently but the only time it will load is after i reset the game and before i put my backup files into the game at first it was just a 102 error and now it just wont load i am on a pc the game updated and still doesnt work it started after i bought a game on steam and i didnt even have it installed yet the game is installed now and the sims still isnt working

  • audrey22411  As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs.

    And yes this will mean not using your saves, but again, they'll be intact and can be restored later.

    If you get another crash, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
