My game won't connect to the internet.

My game won't work with my Wi-Fi. Every time I open it, I get the Sims Delivery Error Code 00000008:0000000000000000, and the gallery won't work either. I don't know what to do. None of the tips on h...

    @LycorisII  Please clear Windows temp files:

    • Click Windows key-R, and a run box will appear in the lower-left corner of the screen.
    • In the new window, type or copy & paste "%temp%" (without the quotes), and enter.
    • Now your Windows Explorer should have brought you to the C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Local\Temp folder.  Delete all files and folders inside.
    • If some files or folders can't be deleted, restart your computer (a real restart, not sleep/wake) and try again.

    Additionally, before trying again to open the EA App, clean-uninstall it with Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine).  Use the Intensive scanning method when asked.  Restart your computer and download a fresh copy of the App installer from here:

    Run it as an admin: right-click the download and select "Run as adminnistrator."  Then open Sims 4 and try to connect.

Hi again. Sadly, the power cycling didn't work. I don't really get why I can play the game on other computers using the same internet but not on my own...

The error message doesn't automatically show up on start when Sims Delivery is disabled.

    HI! I'm happy to report that as of now, both the EA App and The Sims 4 connect to the internet. It seems the problems were connected after all. 

    I'm not 100% sure what solved it, but I did follow your instructions, and I did it in combination with another thing I found here (picture below). So I guess what solved it was either revo, temp files or completely disabling the VPN in the task manager. 

    Either way, I'm over the moon. I really hope this works now and that it doesn't come back. I've been having problems since September. 

    Thank you so much for your help. I don't know anything about computers so it was really nice and helpful. I was ready to give up. 🙂

      @LycorisII  I'm so glad to hear it, and thanks for letting me know about the VPN as well.  It could definitely cause Sims 4 issues even when it appears to be behaving in every other context.
