My package files opening with notepad and it's not letting me play the game?

My package files (my cc) have turned into notepad and it will not let me open the game. Why is that so?

    You tried to open a .package file with notepad. It has absolutely no influence on your ability to open the game. What happens when you click play in Origin?

It states "cannot start because the below file appears to be corrupted. If this file is a mod please remove it and try again. If not, please repair or reinstall the game via origin." I just installed the cc I have had cc in the past around 9 months ago. I am confused of why it is doing this. (I figured it out I am sorry that I wasted your time ._.)
