"the EA app has been launched from another application" how do I fix that?

What happens when the bug occurs? Whenever I try to launch The Sims 4, the EA App launches, tries to open the game, my screen goes white for a moment and then it returns to the EA App where it flashes for a millisecond the message: "Some features have been disabled because the EA app has been launched from another application". This happens whenever I try to open the game through Steam, EA App, or the TS4's game tile on my desktop. It is impossible to play the game anymore, when just two days ago I played it, finishing the second week of the Reaper Event. I tried restarting the EA app, cleaning the cache, deleting the EA app and installing it again, all while restarting my laptop many times throughout this process. My last resource was uninstalling the game and installing it again via Steam. And still, nothing. I don't know what else to do.The only folder I access in the game is the Mods folder, but I ultimately left it empty and I was playing the game vanilla because I'll wait a sale at the end of the year to buy more DLC and few more patches before I weight down my game with mods. I didn't try to open the game with anything different in it.
What do you expect to see? Me, actually being able to play the game again.
@curupiradebota Please run both the EA App and Steam as an admin: right-click each desktop shortcut and select "Run as administrator." Don't try to launch Sims 4 until both apps have loaded fully, and then press Play in Steam rather than using the game's desktop shortcut.
