line123462 Does the save date match the last time you saved, or is your newest save an older version too? You can see the date in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > saves.
The reason I ask is because there are two distinct issues that can look the same. One is that a newer save file gets replaced with an older one, usually because OneDrive downloads the older copy and overwrites or renames the newer one. The other is that your progress, or perhaps only some of your progress, doesn't get written to the save file at all.
The latter is less common but does happen, so if your save file has the correct date, please load it again and see whether any of your progress was saved at all. Please also make one obvious change (place a chair in the yard or something), use "save as" to rename the save, quit, and reload the new copy, to see whether that change sticks.
