My sim can't recieve a Starlight Accolade award.

I had this same problem just now with my sim. She couldn’t even get in the door of the lounge to accept the award. I thought she might not have enough fame, but when I went to bribe the guard, the option was grayed out. It said she had enough fame to get in. So I had her walk into the lounge, up next to the microphone. But by then the option to accept the award was gone, even though the award show was still happening. She did not receive the award in her inventory and the “Receive an Award” part of Milestone 3 of the Master Actress Aspiration did not complete.

Happened to me to. I paused the game, went into buy mode and sold the mic. I put another in and it worked just was. I was able to accept the award then. Give it a go. 

Similar issue here.  She was nominated so I sent her to the ceremony.  When I tried to get her inside the building it cancelled from her queue, presumably because she is only a 2 star celebrity. But the actions with the bouncer were grayed out and it said she had already got access to the door.  Normally, I would guess she had temporary access because of the nomination, but she has got through it once before too when she was invited on a date there and somehow ended up inside without my having her interact with the bouncer.  

Anyway, while I was trying to get her into the ceremony the notification popped up that she had won and the award would be in her household inventory.  

She eventually got inside but had no interactions available to collect the award and just watched the rest of the ceremony and the others collecting their awards.  

When she got home there was no award in the household inventory.  

I tried first talking to the host and then receiving the award so that the host was no longer using the microphone and that worked for me!

I also have this issue.  My sim won the first award of the night.  She was not able to collect it (she was actually outside when the award was announced - she arrived shortly after ceremony started)- The Accept Reward action was canceled every time I selected it on the microphone.  Then the host stood back from the microphone while the guests all looked on and "Watch"ed, but nothing happened for hours.  I had my sim use the microphone (Tell Jokes) to see if that would reset mic.  Didn't work. 

Also, the host left in the middle of the ceremony.  Another host showed up but was stuck outside the door until a few minutes before 11:00pm when the event ended.  No one ended up with a reward, as there was never any other rewards announced. 

Though the message said the reward would be in my sims family inventory - it wasn't there.

Attend the next Award show, (Every sunday at 19:00)

I was having this problem too, went into build mode, looks like the door defaults to requiring 3 celebrity stars to enter. Can't turn it off, but can set it to a different level including 1. also was having the mic problem. both restarting the game and replacing the mic seemed to solve that. Although other celebs sometimes don't give speeches (which is different from how it used to be in my game) I wonder if it has to do with all the conversations and seat switches? Although I remember that present before when it all worked correctly.

Ya does anyone else have accolade show problems? I found I get the accolade announcement starting at 6pm, so I go at 6 now because I have so many issues. Sometimes the host stops being the host by 7pm, and no one else becomes the host, or the host leaves mid show at like 9pm. (If anyone else starts going at 6 or already does and the host stops being the host around 7pm, sending your sims to another location and then sending them back to PBP will bring a new host. Don't have them walk away, send them to another lot with the travel button on the phone or whatever method you use. If they leave mid show, that trick hasn't worked for me, hope it will for you if you have this issue or hopefully someone else somewhere knows what to do in those situations.) My last problem with the accolades is that I DO NOT GET AWARDS. I have a singer right now because I haven't done it in a while. My first singer got multiple awards for lyrics, an amazing sounding voice, and amazing performances. I saved my game at 5:50pm and I go to PBP between 6:10 and 6:30pm and my current singer I'm working on never ever wins. I have exited to main menu and tried again maybe 20 times now. I have been trying over the last 3 days. Before I saved the game, I had her sing in front of people, do a meet and greet, licensed songs, and a few more things over the entire week just to make sure the game knows she should probably get recondition for something she did. She has a sister that has her own household, so she is no longer controlled by me. If her sister shows up, her sister gets an award. She is a model, it is a modded job I downloaded, it's not a skill you can learn like singing is in game. Every other celebrity gets awarded except for my sim. I might try removing her from the household while we are at the show to see if she will win then. I wonder if it's something about the sim being active? Anyway, if anyone has recommendations let me know.
