My Sims 4 expansion packs aren't showing up in Steam.
I originally bought my games through Origin. I have downloaded the Sims 4 game on Steam and all of my packs are downloaded on the EA Launcher. Sometimes I am unable to open the sims game at all. When I have been able to open Sims it shows my packs are owned but when I play none of the packs' content is available in the game.
I have seen some say to try opening Origin to repair the game, when trying to reinstall Origin I get an error message. I have deleted Sims 4 base game and I tried to download it on the EA Launcher and it got stuck at 14%. I am now redownloading it on Steam but fear it will be the same issue since none of my packs are on Steam.
Is there anything I can do? I am not willing to pay for all of my packs all over again ☹️
@JadaCamille You need to install Sims 4 through Steam, then download your packs (but not a second copy of the base game) through the EA App. The option should be under Sims 4 > Manage > Manage add-ons. The packs should install into the folder for the Steam-installed base game, and everything should load from there.
If your packs show as installed in the EA App but don't load in-game, you probably have this issue:
Please see the first post and accepted solution on page one.
Origin doesn't work in Windows anymore, which is why you get an error when trying to install it.
