My Sims 4 Game seems to have been completely wiped. What should I do?
I have had The Sims 4 for a few years now. My computer has always been sort of slow, but recently my Sims 4 game has just been completely unplayable. It moves at a crawl, and is just very laggy. I DID have some mods/CC, and I have purchased a lot of DLC. However, I have deleted all of my mods/CC, I’ve cleaned a lot of unnecessary files and things that were taking up memory, and I moved the actual game file from the Electronic Arts folder to Desktop. When I booted up the game, none of my saves were there, and it acted as though it was a completely new game with no DLC or anything. It also won’t let me leave the game. What do I need to do??
@b0iiledegg When you moved the Sims 4 folder out of the Electronic Arts folder and onto your desktop, you moved everything inside, including the saves, to a place where the game couldn't read the content. If you copy the saves to the new Sims 4 folder (they're in the saves subfolder, naturally), the game will see them again.
When you say you can't save, do you get an error, or is it just that you haven't progressed far enough to be able to save? You can't save while in CAS; you need to have placed a sim in a house and possibly loaded into that house as well (I don't remember).
