My Sims 4 game won't load

As soon as I sent this yesterday, my game started up. I didn't know how to delete my message, nor find it. I'm sorry about the inconvenience. Thank you though!

@puzzlezaddictso the same issue was happening to me and I did what you suggested and I got on but had to start a new game, so is it a problem with my game file? I’m really sad to lose all my game progress.

@ICELATTEEEE  You don't need to delete your saves, at least not yet.  Instead, try copying one of your saves to the new Sims 4 folder and see how it runs, or if it works at all.  But don't transfer anything else yet.  Since you're copying and pasting the save rather than dragging and dropping, you don't need to worry about any missing mods or custom content—your original save will be intact in the old folder.

If your save runs properly in the new folder, you'll know it's not the issue, and you can start transferring the other content you'd like to keep.  Here's a description of everything in your user folder:

Wherever the game has created a new file or folder, keep that in place, and only transfer files like saves that don't get regenerated.  Test your mods and custom content first, if you have any, and if you run into more trouble, use the 50/50 method to sort through that content.

Once you've sorted through your files, you can go back to playing your main save(s) as before.

@puzzlezaddict I did what you suggested but it doesn’t read any of my save games☹️ and when I decide to just start a new game and copy my cc to the new game file, the sims 4 won’t launch at all.

I am also having a similar problem. 

My expansion packs will not showcase in the game, 

I did follow your previous steps and when I opened it “it restarted and said that the game contents were ready”

but when I press play sims or create a sims none of the packs are there.

@ICELATTEEEE  Again, you can't add all your custom content back at once; that was the problem in the first place.  You need to test it to figure out what's not working and get rid of those files.

For your save not showing up, please post a screenshot of the file(s) you moved over, and include the address bar, above the list of files and folders, in the screenshot.

@shijeanadavis  Your issue is somewhat different than the one covered in this thread.  Since you've also posted in a more relevant thread, please continue there, and post back if you have any more issues.
