I found the config file, except that It is a text document. How do I know which are the corresponding subfolders that are still are being used?
@jiminsiieee Look at the last modified date on the config file(s). The one that has the same time and date as the last time you launched the game is the one that the game is using. The Sims 4 folder it's in is the correct folder, and all of the subfolders inside it are being read as well.
So, which folder should I move the trays and the saves to? (sorry for asking too much)
@jiminsiieee Make sure you've found the correct Sims 4 folder, as in, the one with the config.log that has a last modified date from the last time you opened the game. Inside that Sims 4 folder, remove the Saves folder that's already there, and put the Saves folder that has your old saves inside instead. Do the same with the Tray folder.
When you remove the old Saves and Tray folders, don't delete them yet, just in case you realize there's something inside you want. Just move them somewhere else for now.
I did what you told me to do and still nothing. I think I missed something because I'm unsure if I did it right.
