@queenrose68 I can't see either file; the links you chose may be restricted to just you or the people you add to the sharing list. Normally you need to specify that anyone with the link can view the file, which you can do when you click the Sharing button. However, this site's virus scanner appears to be working again, so if you'd rather attach the files to a post, go ahead.

If those dont work try these.

@queenrose68 Thanks for the links, which are especially helpful since this site's virus scanner decided to act up again and block all uploads. The Sims 4 crashes all mention the same component of Windows as the faulting module.
Start with a couple of basic checks of your Windows system files:
- Hit Windows key-X
- Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command prompt (Administrator),” whichever option is offered
- Inside the window that appears, copy and paste “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” without quotes into the window, and enter
- The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here
- After it reaches 100%, hit Windows key-X again
- Again, choose “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command prompt (Administrator)”
- Inside the window, copy and paste “sfc /scannow” without quotes into the window, and enter
- Post the message you receive here
Restart your computer, and try to play. If the game doesn't work, please clear Origin's cache:

Restart your computer again, and repair the game: open your Origin game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair.

Error:740
Elevated permissions are required
This is the message that popped on sfc/scannow
You must be an administrator running a console session in order to use the sfc utility.- puzzlezaddict6 years agoHero+
@queenrose68 That means exactly what it says: you need to run the Administrator version of Command Prompt or PowerShell. When you press Windows key-X, you should see an option that specifically has the word (Administrator) in it. Choose that one.
