My Sims 4 Legacy Edition game wont open through origin or the desktop

I click on play through origin and it literally takes me back to Origin as if i never clicked play. When i click on the desktop it does nothing. My sims 4 icon is just a white flag. I tried renaming ...

@queenrose68  I'm sorry to say it, but I really don't know what else to do.  I've asked around, and I'll keep looking for more suggestions; if I hear anything, I'll post back and tag you.
