My sims 4 packs disappeared in the game

Hi, 3 hours ago I bought the growing together game pack, however when I entered in the game all my others expansion packs had disappear! I tried everything, from uninstalling to installing again, which resulted in a "already ruining" error, which it was solved after 2h of turning of the computer and reseting the game countless times. The error was resolved except by the game packs that continued missing when I entered the game.... the EA launcher says that I own the packs and they are installed, but the game itself doesn't say the same. I'm desperate due to the fact that I played the sims for so many years and spent so much on it. Please help me

  • @Mafalda193  Please run searches for two or three of your missing packs.  Open a File Explorer window, click This PC in the left panel, and enter the folder name for one of the missing packs in the search field in the upper-right corner.  This is the full list of packs:

    https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/extras-2/available-packs-dlc/

For example, if you're looking for Seasons, you'd search for EP05 .  Wait for the search to finish, then make sure the full file path is showing under each result.  If it's not, expand the window sideways as necessary.  Take a screenshot using Windows key-shift-S and attach it to a reply here.  Then repeat for one or two more packs.

@puzzlezaddict Thank u so much, I found the files! I used to play the game with an external disc and I found that my The Sims 4 folder was there, and the EA games one was empty on my pc. I just transfered the The sims 4 folder to the EA games and it worked

I just don't what happened, as literally two days ago it was working perfectly fine, but at least I can play again.

I'm just a bit scared to transfer everything to my external disc again. For example, yesterday I had already uninstalled the game and installed in that disc, however the The sims 4 folder automatically installed alone, while the EA games folder kept staying on the pc.

@Mafalda193  It doesn't actually matter where you install Sims 4, whether it's in an EA Games folder or not and whether it's on an internal or external disc.  The important points are that there is only one copy of Sims 4 installed and that it's in the location the EA App thinks it should be, as in, what you see under Sims 4 > Manage > View properties.

I can't tell you why the App stopped recognizing your install, but one possibility is that the external had a different drive letter this time than it had before.  That can happen if you plug in devices in a different order: Windows assigns drive letters in the order the devices are connected, and newly each time.

At any rate, you should be able to reinstall the game on your external if you want.  I would definitely uninstall the game and reinstall it rather than simply moving the files and the game location within the App.  Or you can leave everything as-is; it's your choice.
