My sims are walking like toddlers. What can I do?

I tell my sims to go somewhere to, for example, read a book. As they walk to wherever I sent them, they pop up and down. Their wrists are shortened and pieces of their arms and legs are on different spots of their bodies. They walk exactly like toddlers, sometimes stopping to wobble and put their arms out. I think this is an issue with my custom content related to patch day the other day, but I can't be 100% sure since it didn't happen yesterday when the patch happened and it only started happening after I had been playing the sims for an hour today. I have reset my sim and restarted the game, but to no avail. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what to do?

I have mods installed. I have not yet tried playing the game without mods turned on but will try soon.

Has anyone had the same problem?

as a temporary fix try sending them to another location this will fix things for some time but will eventually revert to their original ways. The reason my sims waddle like tykes is because I cheated and aged them up "unnaturally" and so they get toddler moodlets and walk like them.

  • Try taking out your entire mods folder and test without, if the mods/CC are the problem something indeed is broken.

I have the same problem as you. The problem seems to occur if your sims used to be a toddler. Currently I can't find an answer but you should try moving the sim out, mark them as unplayed, and then move them back in.

open up the cheats box and type in testingcheats false
  • I'm not certain but I think if you had the wild trait as a toddler, or the happy toddler trait, it occurs when they're young adults and teens. This isn't a permanent fix, but it will help shortly. If your sim has the energetic emotion, see if you have the toddler energized emotion. I think it says "Weeeee, nobody can catch me!" or something. If you see that, try the cheat "sims.remove_all_buffs". If you don't have the energized toddler emotion, try doing the remove trait cheat (can't remember it off the top of my head, sorry) with wild as the trait. As I said earlier, these aren't permanent fixes, but they will help shortly.

If anybody finds a permanent fix, please let me know.

    Hope this helped! 🙂
