My sims hair and clothes don't show in world/map view

I've never made a thread here before, so I hope I'm doing this right.

When i'm in the map area of the game, my sims hair and clothes won't shot up, but once I load the game everything loads in fine. All of my sims hair and clothes are CC, and I checked everything, so none of my CC is broken. I've fully updated the game and repaired it. Does anyone know of this issue or what I can do to fix it? Also is there any further information that you would need from me?  I included a screenshot of how the sims look in the map.

On the contrary some of your CC is broken and cause what you see. Todays patch may break more so the authors needs to update their CC. Look for updates or remove those that are broken.

  • @jpkarlsen I've already checked in twice in Sims4Studio and none of it is broken. Also all of the CC shows up fine in game and in CAS.

Does anyone have any clue how to fix this? I've completely removed my mods folder and it's still happening.

Hi @AMilli0NliGHTS - As @jpkarlsen said, it appears that some of your mods or cc has broken with the last patch. Sometimes custom content can be kind of tricky to completely remove if it glitches, and just removing the mods folder doesn't always work.

I suggest you try to repair your game by following these steps -

        • Exit TS4 and Origin completely.
        • Save a copy of your Saves folder to your desktop (or somewhere else safe, to use as a backup)
        • Move your Mods folder to the desktop
        • Delete the file localthumbcache.package Default location is C:\[YourUserName]\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4  Instructions with pictures are here: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2014/09/delete-cache-files/
        • Launch Origin "As Administrator" (Right-click Origin.exe, choose Compatibility tab, Check the box next to "Run this program as administrator")
        • In Origin, right-click The Sims 4 icon and choose "Repair". Origin has to be online for this to complete. Let the repair run until completed, on the game and any add-ons installed
        • Launch The Sims 4 and check to see if the issue is fixed. (your sims may be naked or bald, depending on the mods or cc that was installed previously)

If the issue is fixed after the repair, then you have one or more outdated mods or cc. This will take a bit of detective work; one at a time, copy your mods back to the mods folder, then open the game and verify everything is working. If you have a lot of mods or cc, use the 50% method. Once you've identified the culprit(s), check with the creators to see if updated versions are available.

If after doing this repair you're still having problems with the issue, you could try resetting the game to factory settings, which is a bit more involved than this process. Please do reply back and let us know if this works or if you still need help.
