My sims wont move

I dont know why but my sims decide not to do certain things. I created a family of 4 3 sims worked fine but the 4th sim wasnt moving he stood stil and would only do things like move to other spaces. The things i wanted him to do would line up in his task bar but he wouldnt do them and then they would delete themselves. After a while my other sims stopped moving and they all did the same things. I tried restarted my computer and even deleted my world and tried to make another  but the same problem occured. I do have custom content and am hoping i wont have to delete any of it. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!😢

You've encountered a bug which hasn't been eliminated as of yet however everyone is aware of this problem and you'll have to roll back to your previous save to restore your sims to a functional state. Once the error has been written into your save data, the problem cannot be eliminated.

    • Browse your file system to "My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Saves" and locate the latest slot. For example: Slot_00000008.save
    • If your latest slot is Slot_00000008.save then you will see the previous versions with extensions ver0, ver1, ver2, ver3, ver4, and ver5.
    • To restore the previous version, rename Slot_00000008.save to Slot_00000008.save.bak then rename Slot_00000008.save.ver0 to Slot_00000008.save.
    • If you encounter the same problem with ver0 then you must roll back further. Repeat the process to restore ver1 - ver5 and test for the error with each restoration.
    • If all versions of the current slot are corrupted, you can roll back to a previous slot however this should not be necessary and is not recommended since you'll lose all of your recent work.

Please also attach your "lastException' file which can be located under "My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4" to this thread so the problem can be isolated and reported to the developers for patching.

@Goldenrose0146,  If you've saved multiple times after the error occurred then you'll have to roll back further. There is no other way to resolve that problem and you'll see that it does not occur with a new file. Export all of your families and import them into a new file if all of your backups have been corrupted and don't save your game the next time you encounter the problem.

I've exported them to another file and it still won't let me don anything with them. I've rolled back as far as I can it still won't let me control them.

Then you might have an incompatible one.

Remove the mods and see if it goes.
