annie_draws5 Did you make sure that none of the game's executables are set to run as admin? Those would be TS4_x64, TS4_DX0_x64, and TS4_Launcher_x64. Please check the originals in [install location]\The Sims 4\Game\Bin as well as any desktop shortcut you have.
And are you using an admin Windows account when you try to play? If not, try doing so.
Separately, does it help to run the EA App (not Sims 4) as an admin? Don't set the option in Properties; just right-click the desktop shortcut and select "Run as administrator" to do so that one time.
Hello, I appreciate the help so much. I checked each of those executables and none of them have the option to run as administrator, I don't know if I am missing something (I know nothing about computers lol). I am now checking in my task manager to see if I messed anything up there while trying to fix it earlier. I also tried deleting the bin folder entirely and repairing the game but the pop up still comes up, is there any way to just entirely reset the game entirely and start fresh? I don't love that option but honestly I just want to play the game at this point and have a backup of my mods and saves.
