annie_draws5 You can reset your user files by moving or renaming the Sims 4 folder in Documents > Electronic Arts. You don't have to delete it outright; as long as it's not in that location and called "The Sims 4," the game won't read it. This is of course separate from any issue with the game's program files.
Where is the game installed, by the way? You can see it in the EA App under Sims 4 > Manage > View properties. Please list the full path you see there.
Separately, it's worth trying to play in a new admin Windows account. Make it local, as in, don't link it to your Microsoft account or any email address. You'll be able to (try to) launch the game without reinstalling it.
The idea here is that if the problem is limited to your main account, for example if it's a permissions issue with one of the account-specific folders (like Documents), using a new account would get around the problem. Regardless of whether you want to use the new account in general, it's a useful test.
