My sims4 game won't start.

I'm kinda new to the whole Sims area, number 4 is the first game I've bought. I downloaded and installed the game just fine and it worked really well for the first 2 to 3 weeks. I stopped playing it ...

    I found this on another forum and this is what helped me

    Try Clearing out the origin cache 

    1. Ensure Origin is fully closed by clicking the Origin Menu and selecting Exit.
    2. Delete the following folders:
    • Origin folder - Found in C:\ProgramData\
    • Origin folder - Found in C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\ 
    • Origin folder - Found in C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\
    • Note: These folders are hidden by default, and the player will need to un-hide to be able to locate them.

    to unhide folders:

    -type folder options in the search field in the start menu

    -click on the view tab 

    -under the hidden folders options click show hidden files, folders, and drives- apply the setting and click ok

Well I don't know what you've already tried. Maybe your game will work better if you start Origin as administrator (by right clicking on Origin) and opening the game from the my games tab in Origin instead of through the short cut?

    I have started origin as an administrator it doesn't seem to make anything better, ive put everything in a backup folder so I don't loose anything aswell.

    Ive put both disks in to try and open the game through those but nothings worked.

    In origin it wont let me open the game, in the my games tab, the play buttons like...faded and I can't click it.

    I've got the demo installed aswell and ive opened that and that's just fine but then again that's just a demo.

    I'm guessing this is because I just haven't got any CC's. I've got all the system requirements on my PC so It cant be anything from there...

      Try restarting Origin, then go to 'my games' right click on The Sims 4 'repair game' log out and back in to Origin (with your email address instead of you username)

        That...actually sounds really logical. I dont know why I didnt think of that. XD
        I'll have to try it when I get home. Im about to go out.
