My The Sims 4 Saved Files Are Gone After An Update

I have Googled how to solve this issue and came across a solution, one of which I don't fully understand, and when I tried it it didn't work but I DID find the saved folders. Extra details; - I...

    @eeveetheone  The saves need to be in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 saves.  I'm not sure why or how the Sims 4 folder was moved to "Game Folders," but the game won't read the data there.
