I fried my motherboard on my laptop, which is where all my sims 4 games play is stuck on. So i went to my Desktop to play my sim 4 games and it did not have my saved game or characters, it started me back from the beginning. It shows all the games but not any game play but what i just started. There are years of game play on the laptop. Can you please help me?
@SimsForever55 The saves and other user files are stored locally on your computer, in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. If you can't access this folder on your laptop, your content is gone, unfortunately.
If you still have the laptop, you could try removing the drive and placing it in an external drive enclosure. These aren't that expensive and can plug into most other computers, and you might be able to borrow one from a friend or family member. This would only work if the drive is intact, but a fried motherboard doesn't necessarily mean a fried system drive.
