@Paynton If you use a third-party antivirus, please make sure you've set exceptions for Sims 4 and the EA App: TS4_x64.exe and EADesktop.exe, respectively. If you only use Windows Defender, and Controlled Folder Access is enabled, set those same exceptions:

You don't need to enable CFA if it's not already running.
If this isn't the issue, please let me know whether OneDrive is running, even if you never use it, and how full it is.

@puzzlezaddictthank you for the info and trying to assist me. I have unintalled the Sims 4 and the EA app and then reinstalled everything and that didnt work. I have tried to do what you have suggested but i have avast but did enable access. I had no issues with the game until the EA app was installed and since the move from Origin, nothing will save. I dont know what to do and EA dont have a clue either. When i create a Sim and hit save the screen just sits there and does nothing. I have left it for a period of time incase it was just slow. If i hit escape it just goes back to the Sim i have created. Nothing will allow me to save a new Sim so i cant play my game

@Paynton Please make sure you've changed all these settings in Avast:

If that doesn't help, let me know about OneDrive, as mentioned before.

@puzzlezaddicti have my sims saved on the D drive instead of the C drive. Could that be causing the issues? EA app is on the C drive. I dont have one drive. I uninstalled it.
Thank you again for your help. It is greatly appreciated
