newcrest update

i have been trying to update my sims 4 to play since it won't let me unless i update, but no matter what i do it just says "verifying game files" then after about 10 minutes, gives me an error messag...

this is * please fix my game keep getting error message and wont let me save  im sick of this  origon is resposible so fix it

    we're players and forum users  here trying to help each other this has worked for some players if you wish to contact CS to see if they can assist instead see below part  2

    1. Go to control panel.
    2. Go to Internet options.
    3. Click the connections tab and at the bottom of the window click on LAN SETTINGS.
    4. uncheck the option Use a proxy server for your LAN.
    5. Click Apply.
    6. Close Origin restart the computer.
