No birthday candles
When I go to make a birthday cake on my sims game it has stopped giving an option to add candles, therefore, I can't age up my sims.
Try moving it to another place closer to the edge of the table.

Try moving it to another place closer to the edge of the table.
In my case I found 3 other cakes in the refrigerator. I took one of those out and the "Add Birthday Candles" option came up again. "Open" the fridge and drag the cake from the inventory to a table.
