No packs showing since update to EA app

I have been playing the sims 4 on Origin for a few years now and yesterday it forced me to update to the EA app instead which caused so many problems. I kept getting an error message which made me completely unable to even load the game and had to completely uninstall and reinstall the game, but I managed to fix it. Now today I can load the game, but none of my packs are showing and on the EA app it says they are all unowned except for the desert luxe and the blooming room kits which I already owned. They are the only ones showing as owned. I own a huge majority of the packs, so obvious this is super annoying. 

In the EA Games folder it is still showing all of the packs and all my saves have survived this ordeal but the packs haven't. On the app it is saying I have to repurchase them, which I am obviously not going to do. Redownloading the game did create a file for the Sims 4 Legacy Edition, which is completely empty and it is not where my backed up saves are loading from so I don't think this is the issue but honestly I don't even know what this edition is so maybe it is?

I have repaired the game, uninstalled and reinstalled both the EA App and the sims 4 and cleared the cache. I have also removed all CC and mods and loaded the game without them but the issue prevails. All my saves are still there but on the loading page it says each save requires all the expansions so I don't want to load the save without them in risk of ruining it.

What can I do?

  • @ree5030  Where did you buy the missing packs: Origin, the EA website, Steam, or a third-party key seller (and which one)?  And are you sure you've signed into the correct account?  Even if you're reasonably sure, please sign into this account on ea.com and check your purchase history for the missing packs.  If they're not there, that's a different issue than if they're listed but don't show within the EA App.

    I bought everything through Origin. I am correctly signed into my account and my purchase history only shows 'payment' for the desert luxe pack (it was free at the time I downloaded it so it wasn't technically paid but it is showing on the purchase history). It shows nothing else.

    @ree5030  Do you still have any order confirmations, receipts, or other email from EA regarding your other purchases?  Please check this and any other email accounts you have.  If you're in the right account but your purchase history is gone, the information in these emails, for example the order numbers, will help an EA customer support rep figure out what happened to your content.  And that's all you can do: contact support and try to trace these purchases.

  • I am having this problem also! This is totally unacceptable.

    Update: For me, a game repair fixed the problem. But EA needs to get this app stabilized! Now, I don't have time to actually play the game.

  • I have this problem but it does not happen every time I log in.  Some times they show other times they don't, It IS VERY FRUSTRATING!

    @ElderJymm  How are you launching Sims 4: through a desktop shortcut, through the Installed Games list in the EA App, or by opening My Collection and clicking the Sims 4 icon?  The last one is the most reliable of the three, so it would be useful to know whether your packs ever disappear when using this method.

    Please also let me know whether you ever play while your computer is offline.

    When I eventually installed the EA app I had it place an Icon on my desktop It is called EA Launcher when the screen opens that shows my installed games I click on the Sims 4 icon there. . And no I don't play The Sims offline. Odd thing is sometimes the app tells me I am not online even though I am. I have yet to go through the My Collection path and test it When I do I will respond again.
