Not being able to log into Origin for the first time

I am not able to login to Origin after trying for hours. I keep getting the message "You must be online to login for the first time". I've exhausted almost every possible way to fix this and nothing ...

Since I don't know what every possible way includes, here's a few suggestions:

Make sure you have Proxies turned off.

Control Panel --> Internet Options --> Connections --> LAN Settings --> Untick Proxy Server
