LucyLovesMarvel What platform are you running the game on?
Even though you aren't getting the fade out, does the game save properly when you save or save and exit?
Hope this helps.

Yeah it saves when I close it, I save then just exit without saving cuz it works better.

Sounds like your laptop's storage might be too full and it's struggling to start up the game
LucyLovesMarvel Please provide a dxdiag. Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
Please also list the location of the Sims 4 user folder as the game sees it. Here's how to find it:

LucyLovesMarvel Your dxdiag shows you have 25 GB free storage on C, which is not a lot but also not so little that it should be causing this issue, at least not with your user folder where it is. (I was worried it might be in OneDrive, which could easily be an issue, but the current location is fine.)
I do see however that your Nvidia graphics driver is from 2023. So please update it. Rather than installing the very newest version, try this one from a few months ago:
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/drivers/results/257496/
It's new enough to be compatible with Sims 4 and pretty much everything else, but old enough to have been tested thoroughly. Plus, it's easy to update again if necessary.
Run the installer as an admin: right-click the download and select "Run as administrator." Restart afterwards and before trying to play.

Okay! Do I delete the old one?
LucyLovesMarvel Do you delete the old what? You don't need to remove the old driver, at least there's no evidence that would be required. You can simply install the new one over the top and restart.
As for the Sims 4 user folder, we can test it later if updating the driver doesn't help.

it works without mods or cc, not with
