@DestinyKrystinia The problem could absolutely be your custom content, but it's difficult to test when the crashes happen after such a long interval. It's probably not the lots you've downloaded if you can load and modify them for a bit—bad lots are usually unloadable or stop responding right away. And 36 GB of free storage is enough to eliminate it as a source of issues. Longer-term, you'll probably want to clear up some space so you can absorb new data without worrying about it, but you can also just keep an eye on things and adjust as necessary.
I would suggest trying at least one long build session with no custom content at all, as in, move the Mods folder to the desktop. You can presumably play with the building itself and the layout for a while before choosing which cc items to place, so it'll be a reasonably-good test.
If you get a crash with no cc present, please run a dxdiag and attach it to your reply.

@puzzlezaddict Thanks for your help. I played for a while without cc and there was no crash. However, I tried to open an old save file which is a household & lot with cc and I was stuck on the loading screen for 2 hours before I just force-closed the application. Do you think there's some type of script error with cc builds in my game? The old save file is from last year so there are no new mods added. I'm certain it's a cc build issue, but I'm not sure how to pinpoint exactly what it is.

@DestinyKrystinia Can you load the lot in Build mode? If so, try deleting one room at a time, then loading in live mode, to see whether you can pinpoint the issue. You don't need to save your progress. And if the lot doesn't load in a couple of minutes, say 5 at most, it's probably not going to, so you can then kill the game and try again.
It would also be helpful to know whether the lot loads with all your mods and custom content in place.
