old photos turning into static or black

i have exhausted every thread and reddit post i can find regarding old framed photos turning black, i have tried all the fixes i've heard of like repairing the game, having it generate a new sims 4 folder, removing my mods and deleting the localthumbcache. nothing is helping. this happens even when there is no cc in my game, as seen in the pictures. i have NEVER put the photos in a storage or keepsake box, i have only hung them on the wall. i have moved house a lot of times in this save and never lost the pictures until now. this seemed to start after the update at the end of may. i have also been having an issue involving the walls turning into red/purple with big green question marks on them, but that seems to be cc related as when i take out my mods folder that issue stops. but i really am not sure how to fix this issue with the photos and can't find any threads about photos looking like this. as you can see it's not all of them, so i'm not sure what the game thinks is criteria for turning the photos black. i'm not sure what else to try. i've repaired the game about four times by now. any suggestions at all would be helpful.. photography is a big part of my gameplay as it's a legacy and i just want to play my game, but i'm spending more time trying to fix it than playing it these days. ☹️
