Origin crashing as update prepares.
My only origin game is the Sims 4 and recently I tried to open it to play and origin is stuck on preparing an update. I've left it open and it has prepared for nearly 10 minutes and then crashes every time i hover my mouse over the origin window. I've cleared cache, restarted my computer, logged out of origin, and have tried everything I can for three days now. I appreciate any help!
@Maddie121502 Clear Origin's cache again, then uninstall Origin "the hard way."

When you reinstall, be sure to uncheck the box to automatically keep Origin and your games up to date. Before trying to update Sims 4, right-click on its icon in your Origin library and select Repair.
