@Kitty_A3sthetic  Are these Origin/EA and Steam accounts linked to each other?  The easiest way to tell is to go to any EA site, for example ea.com, click sign in, click the Steam icon, and enter your Steam username and password.  You'll land in the EA account linked to that Steam account.  If it's different than the EA account you've been using when trying to play Sims 4, or the account that owns High School Years is different than the one linked to your Steam account, that would explain the issue.

If this is not the issue, if the two accounts are linked properly, please search Origin for High School Years, choose the pack, and click View in Library, then let me know what happens, including whether you see a Download button.  If you don't see View in Library at all, let me know what the orange button does say.

  • @Kitty_A3sthetic  If you currently have Sims 4 installed through Origin, please uninstall it and install the game and any packs you own through Steam.  Then sign into Origin and download High School Years, but NOT the base game; Origin should download it into the program files for the Steam version of Sims 4.  Your packs should then all load together.

As a side note, if you do need to uninstall Sims 4, please make a backup copy of the Sims 4 folder in Documents > Electronic Arts first.  This folder contains your saves and other user content.  While it shouldn't be deleted when you uninstall, sometimes that happens, so it's best to make a backup just in case.

  • that’s very good advice but i own sims 4 through steam not origin. and my high school years isn’t downloading unless i get base game through origin. that’s my major issue

@Kitty_A3sth3tic What puzzlezaddict said is right though, you can load Origin DLC with a steam basegame. It should download it to your steam folder (not steam library!) as soon as you launch your game from the steam version, that's why they suggested you run a reinstall from steam. If it doesn't work, something else is likely going on. Just to make sure: you bought the Origin DLC on the same account that you linked to your steam account, right?

@Kitty_A3sth3tic  What I described is the way things have worked since Sims 4 was first available on Steam.  If you have two copies of Sims 4 listed in your Origin game library, try downloading through both of them.  The correct option to use should have a Steam logo on it, but perhaps things have gotten scrambled recently.

  • @puzzlezaddict the sims 4 doesnt show in my origin libarary unless i actually play it. and even then, nothing happens. i cant choose to download the dlc. it wants me to download it through origin, which i havent done. do you know why this happens?

  • it turns out that i have two ea accounts (i thought the pfp pics were different bc it was a different device) and the one im currently using has the dlc, but it was linked to the other one. i just unlinked it and relinked to this one and opened sims 4. now my dlc is downloading. Thank you for the help!
