Origin Sims 4 CD keeps asking for windows update cant install

I bought Sims 4 at wallmart . i put the disk in install and then tells me i need to update my system. I have windows 10 and all my updates from microsoft windows are up to date. This is very frustrating my daughter spent her bday money on this game and cant play it. will it make a difference if i buy it online?

Please help

Download Origin from here: https://www.origin.com/store/download and install it (the version on the disc is totally outdated)

Login with your Origin account

Redeem the code that you find inside the case on your Origin account (if you haven't done so already)

Download the game through Origin and install it

Hope that works.

It says it needs a missing .dll file. Where do I find this?
