Origin won't let me start my game because i need to RE-activate it?

I got the Sims 4 brand new 2 two months ago, and I've been playing it ever since. It's always working just fine and I've never had any issues with the game or my Origin account. But for some reason, today when I tried to play, I got a notification saying I needed to "Activate the Game" So I used the activation code that came with the game that I BOUGHT, but it won't le me use the code because it has "already been used". Seriously? DUH it's been used! This is ridiculous! I'm not going to go buy another one just for a code so I can play a game that I'VE ALREADY SPENT MONEY ON.

  • Does the game still show up on your Origin client in myGames ?

If not, try the following things (test if it's there after every step)

    • Log out and back in and make sure you use your email address and not your username to login.
    • Restart Origin
    • Reinstall Origin
    • Restart your router
