Origin won't reinstall my Sims 4

I bought The Sims 4 on disk a few months a go and I played it for a while. I have just checked my computer and there is no trace of the game Sims 4 on my on my Origin account even though the game was installed on the computer. Origin asked me to activate the game but on putting the code in it says "This code has already been used." FAQ. I have since uninstalled the game and tried to reinstall it, meeting the exact situation with Origin, Should I uninstall and reinstall Origin to set it right again?

  • You need to log in to Origin with the account you first installed with and install the game through there.

You can find your game in the 'My games' tab.

Thank you, this is what I've already tried but it didn't appear in My Games before I uninstalled the game and definitely isn't there now.

  • In that case, this is advised:

The game no longer shows up in Origin

    Try the following things:

    • Restart Origin.
    • Log out and back in and use the email address instead of the user name. Make sure to use the one you used to register the game in the first place.
    • Reinstall Origin.
    • Restart your router/modem.
    • Make sure the game isn't hidden by accident. To check, put the filter to Hidden Games. If it's there, right-click on the game to unhide ((click on the spoiler below to view an exemplary screenshot))
    • Get in touch with an EA Game Advisor.
