@Emiii20078 In Origin with the Sims 4 icon did you try the settings (the cog) option to update game? What antivirus are you using?
no i havent tried that. i used discord for help but they didnt really guide me that well. i was told that if i opened the game and loaded a household it would update its self but it didnt. so i will try updating it with origin and my antivirus is norton security

@Emiii20078 Third party security programs may (probably) not be set to allow Origin through the firewall..Either turn off Norton, then update game, turn Norton back on. IMO the antivirus that comes with Windows works just fine. Turning off Norton should (supposed to) enable the Windows antivirus program so your machine will (should) still be protected. The problem is the game installer makes changes to the firewall. These changes may (probably) won't work because the game installer doesn't know how to configure third party security programs.. This may be why your game is not automatically updating. Having used third party antivirus programs I found I was having problems with some games. I quit using third party programs and have been using the Windows included free antivirus and found it works quite well. and its free as it comes with Windows operatting system. I've never used Norton so I can't help you with that.
- Emiii200784 years agoRising Rookie@roberta591 alright i will try this and see what happens hopefully it works but it is weird that it hasnt been updated since 2020. the game its self has updated but the game version is just staying the same

@Emiii20078 A quick question. Where are you seeing this version? What does the version read in the lower right of the loading screen say?
