@EMorris_BSE   Do you have another program to see is this function works. This will tell you if the operating system or the game is causing the issue. As touch screen functions need drivers for the operating system (Windows) to work properly it is possible there is an issue with the drivers for the touch screen. Have you checked your laptop manufacturer's support site to see if there is a driver update? This game does not have native support for a touch screen so driver's need to be supply by the manufacturer and there may be an issue with the video driver which is supplied by laptop manufacturer. If you have updated your video driver from the video chip manufacturer's site, this driver may not  support touch screen functions fully. Have there been any recent updates for your laptop recently? The fall Windows 10 update was due in October but a problem caused Microsoft to pull the update (twice). I think they fixed the first issue but I have not heard if the update is active as they stagger the release to users. My Windows 10 computers are still on the spring 2018 update. Microsoft recently announced that Windows 10 as a service is not working as planned but no replacement plan was stated. Going to a subscription service was denied. Microsoft is like an 800 pound gorilla - it does what it wants to do. Microsoft has had this status for a long time with essentially no real competition. Linux has come a long way in recent years and Microsoft seems to be having trouble with users upgrading when new version are released. Windows Vista was a bust and Windows 8 wasn't generally accepted. I for one am tired of paying for broken operating systems. Check to see if Windows 10 is up to date and the video driver is the latest. First check to see if the function is working at all.
