Pink, purple and white lines

I have the same exact problem and unfortunately the screen tearing (at least for me) occurs in gameplay as well on all of the buttons. The game is definitely still playable but you can't read what any of the buttons are and have to hover over each button to see what it is. I also have trouble reading some text in the game but am able to figure it out with some squinting...Sorry to not be of any help but I don't know how to fix this problem either. I know that in the sims display options some of the options are supposed to be able to help but because of the lines through the buttons I can't understand what my settings are saved as (whether things are turned on or off or anything) Hopefully someone can help us.
