Run a repair in the EA App. Click the three dots in the upper right corner and select Repair.

Thank you, my sims is opening now but all my saves are lost ☹️. oh well

  I'm not saying you'll find them, but it's possible, and you can also check your OneDrive settings to make sure it's not interfering with your Sims 4 data.
