I am having the same problem. It seems to trigger a little while after playing in live mode and hitting the Simology button. No CC or mods, never played with them. Crazy frustrating. EA app never works and now my game doesn't either.

I do also have that issue, but no. This is an issue with the game not saving and not being able to go into build mode or world edit mode as well as not having romance preferences visible in the sims info panel in live mode.
@danikajaye As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and let me know which issues, if any, are still present.
Please also clear the EA App's cache and repair the game before testing.
